46% of all sick leave is due to mental health problems. These can be personal or work-related problems. It has been shown that employees who go through a tough period have a 50% loss of production in terms of time. This has many negative consequences for both the employee and the employer. By having the employee undergo preventive counseling when signs of any type of problem arise, the risk of sick leave is significantly reduced.

We offer single calls or corporate packages of 5, 10, 15 or 20 calls at a reduced price. It is also possible to add the service "managerial support", where the employer is told how to handle the situation and relate to the employee in the best way during this, in some cases, very difficult time. We can also provide managerial support in training you on how to recognize signs of early mental illness.

The workplace can inform that there is a possibility to talk without the person having to have shown signs of mental illness. This prevents the risk of suffering from mental illness at a later stage.

Rehabilitation & employee coaching

Once the employee has developed a mental health problem, the employer may need to talk to the employee and see what support is needed. Sometimes some adjustments and support in the workplace are enough, and in other cases, sick leave with a gradual return to work may be necessary. Getting the employee into therapy as early as possible in the process can often shorten the sick leave. We offer special company packages of 5, 10, 15 or 20 sessions at a reduced price. The "manager support" service can be added, which means that the manager receives continuous guidance on how to handle the situation and relate to the employee in the best possible way. 

When an employee feels unwell for various reasons, it can affect their work. In some cases, the problems are directly related to work and in other cases, problems outside work have the greatest impact. Sometimes it can be a combination of both. An employee who feels well is also more likely to perform well at work. The target group for our rehabilitation is people with work-related ill health. This can include fatigue syndrome, anxiety, depression, addiction, etc. Our method is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). It is about treating the person's problems so that they feel better and can also function better in the workplace.

Both internal and external problems.

Internal problems refer, among other things, to the person's internal stressors, while external ones can be related to external factors such as workload, conflicts and so on. In many cases, the responsiveness of the workplace and its adaptation to the worker play an important role in the return to work. It needs to be an interaction between employee and employer, where the common goal is to make it as good as possible in the long term for both parties. The aim of the treatments is to reduce avoidance and increase activity in life, with an emphasis on work, employment and future professional life. The aim of rehabilitation is always to facilitate a return to work and to shorten sick leave.

  • Stress programs: e.g. ten weeks for those who are exhausted, stress prevention program of five times.

  • Lectures for HR, managers and employees on stress, fatigue, prevention, substance abuse, etc.

What an arrangement might look like

You can tell your employees and managers that you have a partnership with Sveapsykologerna and that they can contact us if they need a psychological consultation. They can contact us and we will get back to them within a few hours. Then we have a phone call where we hear what they are looking for and match them with the right therapist.

After the first call, we give a recommendation on the number of calls we think may be needed. For example, three or five calls. If you agree, we will continue the conversations with the employee/manager.
